 On Saturday 25 of November 2017, during a confrontation between security forces and members of an Indigenous Mapuche community Lof Lafken Winkul Mapu in the area of Villa Mascardi, 35 kilometers from Bariloche. Rafael Nahuel, a 22-year-old Mapuche young man was shot on his back and died. The shooting took place near a national park where community members had been violently evicted by authorities on Thursday. The doctor who treated the Mapuche wounded: "The bullets came from one side" (Security Forces). The Mapuche People did not carry weapons. We like to express our solidarity to all our Mapuche brothers and sister who are wounded and killed by the Argentinian and Chilean police forces.
